Rachel is a second-generation attorney, born and raised in Lewis County. She graduated from W.F. West High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at Boise State University.

She earned her Master of Public Administration and her Juris Doctorate simultaneously from the University of Idaho, graduating with a Pro Bono distinction, and worked as an extern in the Office of Governor Brad Little during her studies. Her pro bono work included the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association Street Law Clinic, the Federal Defenders of Idaho Capital Habeas Unit, and the Idaho Military Legal Alliance.

Rachel's practice includes public defense in the Lewis County District and Superior Courts, and she serves as prosecutor for the city of Chehalis. She was also previously the prosecutor in Tenino and Centralia. She is a member of the Lewis County Bar Association, the Washington State Bar Association, and the Washington State Association of Municipal Attorneys.

Rachel has always loved the close-knit community of Lewis County and believes in the importance of bringing more resources to the community and providing residents with local legal representation.
